Интерактивный урок по английскому языку на тему "Животные" c GIF иллюстрациями (On-line lesson "Animals")

Чтобы научиться читать по-английски нужно что? Правильно - знать правила чтения, выучить знаки транскрипции, а самое главное - читать и читать побольше, желательно что-то интересное и нетрудное, чтобы бесконечно не выискивать новые слова в словаре. Взрослый еще может себя заставить это делать, а вот ребенок скорее просто забросит чтение. Конечно есть методика Ильи Франка, в которой предлагается читать книги с параллельным переводом текста на русский язык, но лично мне это не нравится и кажется бесполезным занятием. Гораздо лучше воспользоваться чтением книг или текстов, разбитых на уровни - для начинающих, продолжающих обучение и т.д. Об уровневом чтении я уже писала здесь. Кому предлагаемого ресурса показалось недостаточно, можно прочитать вот эту статью.



А я хочу продолжить серию статей для обучения чтению. Предыдущая статья называлась "Читаем по-английски со Школой Монстров". Однако в своем новом уроке я хочу затронуть и другие виды речевой деятельности - работу с новой лексикой, говорение и аудирование.

Перед чтением текста давайте познакомимся с лексикой, которая может быть вам не знакома:

Reading practice "Animals"

    This is a dog. The dog is white. It is playing.

The dogs are pet animals and people's best friends. They were domesticated thousands of years ago. There are a lot of different dogs' breeds - huskies, bulldogs, terriers, dachshunds and so on. They can be of different colours and sizes.

The dog is a very useful and faithful animal. Dogs can swim and run fast. Dogs are found all around the world. They guard the houses from thieves. The policemen use dogs to catch criminals. Blind people use guard dogs to walk on the streets. Children like dogs because they are funny, brave and cute.

This is a cat. The cat is grey. It is jumping.

The cat is one of the favourite pet animals. It looks like a little tiger. It is covered with soft and silky fur. It has got sharp teeth and claws. It can see even in the darkness. It can run, jump and climb but it can't swim.The cat catches mice and rats. It likes meat, fish and milk. Children like to play with the cats.

This is a fox. The fox is red. It is jumping.

The fox is a wild animal. It lives in the forest. It has got red fur and a long furry tail. It has got sharp teeth and claws. The fox is clever and cunny. It catches mice and othe small animals. It can jump and run.

This is a polar bear. It is white. It is rolling.

Polar bear lives in the North. It has got a soft thick fur.The polar bear doesn't afraid of cold. It can be dangerous. The bear has got big paws, sharp teeth and claws. It eats fish and small animals. It can run, jump and swim.

This is a tiger. It is big and brown. It has got black stripes on its body. It is yawning.

The tiger has got sharp teeth and claws. It has got a long tail. The tiger belongs to the cat family. It lives in the forest or jungle. It is a predator. The tiger eats meat. It is a very cruel and ferocious wild animal. We can find tigers in the zoo or circus.

This is a gorilla. It is big and black. It is rolling in the leaves.

Gorilla is a big monkey. It is very clever. But sometimes it can be very agressive.  Gorillas live in African rainforests. They usually live on the ground but they build nests to sleep in. They eat plants, roots and fruit. They spend nearly half of their day eating.  Gorillas are very caring mothers.  They raise their children for years unlike other animals. They live about 35 years in the wild. You can see gorillas in the zoo.

This is a zebra. It has got black and white stripes on its body. It is running.

A zebra is an animal that resemble a horse. But unlike the horse a zebra is a wild animal. It can run very fast. Zebras live in Africa. They eat plants, grass and roots. Zebras sleep standing up like horses. Lions and hyenas are zebras enimies. They hunt zebras.
